It’s Maple Syrup Time at Minnesota State Parks

There aren’t many states in the U.S. that produce maple trees of the sort that can make syrup, and Minnesota is one of them.

And now (the Month of March) is the time.

May I recommend that you avail yourself the opportunity to experience one of the many state parks that highlight the value of this natural resource?

Here are the seven state parks that have Maple Syrup events:

Wild River
Fort Snelling
Whitewater
Lake Maria
Sibley
Big Island
Maplewood

Our family has been to Fort Snelling and Wild River and both events were very interesting. They teach the history of Maple Syrup, they teach the biology of Maple Syrup and show you how they do it.

And in some parks there are free samples!

Check it out.
